TREATMENT RESTRICTIONS

ACTIVITIES THAT MUST BE AVIODED PRIOR TO & AFTER TREATMENTS:

(Meaning it would be unsafe to receive treatment and dangerous to engage in the listed activities after treatment)

24-48 Hours:

Shaving, Waxing, Threading, Depilatory Creams, Bleaching/coloring, Injectables
1-2 Weeks:
Tanning, ANY Sun Exposure without SPF, injectables, Active Cold sores, Herpes outbreak

**Planning any summer trips or outdoor activities? – REMEMBER You need to wait 2 weeks after any extra sun exposure to safely receive treatment. (Extra sun must also be avoided after treatment for 2 weeks)**

3-4 Weeks:

Prescription skincare (oral or topical), Retin A (Rx), Medications or ANYTHING that would make you photo sensitive,

Photo-facials, laser treatments, Collagen Induction Therapy (micro needle), Dermaplaning, microblading, tattoo.

6 months -1 Year:

Shingles, Facial Surgery, Chemotherapy Radiation, Active Cancer, cancer removal spots & Accutane

Contraindications before and after CIT treatments

Do not take aspirin or any other medicines that lower blood clotting for one week before the procedure.
If you are prone to broken capillaries, use creams with vitamin K, C or arnica every day for 7 days before and after your treatment.

CIT (Collagen Induction Therapy) is NOT a treatment option for the following conditions:

  • pregnancy
  • breastfeeding
  • active cancer
  • advanced diabetes
  • autoimmune diseases
  • mental instability
  • ANY type of prescription blood thinner
  • hypertrophic keloidation (scarring easily)
  • open wounds
  • skin infections
  • sunburns
  • active cold sores 
Contraindications for Plasma Pen
  • Recent BB Glow treatment where iron oxide may be present in the skin
  • Uncontrolled blood pressure (You MUST have it controlled continuously for at least 4 months)
  • Uncontrolled Diabetes
  • Anemia
  • Any issue whatsoever that impedes skin healing
  • Allergies or sensitivity to numbing solutions and anesthesia
  • Hypertrophic Keloidation
  • Scarring Easily
  • Currently using steroids, Cortisone creams
  • Topical RX
  • Herpes
  • Cancer
  • Radiation and or Chemotherapy in the last 1 year
  • Accutane in the last 1 year
  • Breastfeeding/Pregnancy
  • Sick on the day of procedure
  • Some autoimmune disease like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Alopecia
  • Vascular or arterial diseases
  • Blood thinning medications
  • Prone to hyper or hypopigmentation
  • Skin diseases or infections
  • Rashes or sores in the treatment area
  • Inflammation in the treatment area
  • Lupus
  • Vitiligo
  • Eczema
  • Dermatitis
  • Keratosis
  • Cold sores in the lip or eye area
  • Sunburn in the treatment area
  • Tan in the treatment area
  • Birth Marks
Contraindications for Light Emitting Diode
  • epilepsy
  • open wounds
  • skin infections
  • sunburns
  • active cold sores 
Contraindications for Microcurrent

Microcurrent is NOT a Treatment option for the following conditions:

  • active cancer
  • cardiac pacemakers
  • epilepsy
  • metal implants
  • skin irritation
  • pregnancy
  • breastfeeding
  • mental instability
  • open wounds
  • skin infections
  • sunburns
  • active cold sores 
Contraindications for Peels

Chemical Peeling is not a treatment option for the following conditions:

  • open wounds
  • skin infections
  • sunburns
  • active cold sores
