At Rose Hill Wellness we take both sides of the extractions debate into consideration to create options that meet in the middle.

Extractions are always optional but we do perform them for area for pores around the nose that have an encrustation I.e. a build up that extends past the skin surface. We also do extractions for milia and acne depending on how close they are to the surface of the skin and if they are ready. We never want to do extractions for something that is too deep in the skin or not ready to release, this will only increase the healing and downtime and increase the possibilities of scarring effects.

People with darker skin or more pigmentation production are more likely to have hyperpigmentation marks after extraction then somebody who has lighter skin because they have less melanin production. Keep this in mind when deciding if requesting extractions is a good fit for your specific skin care goals and skin health needs as always we are always here to be help with advice and information so yo can decide what is the perfect fit!
